Zara Education Ireland provides a Guardianship service to students in Ireland whose parents live abroad. In Ireland, students attending Secondary School whose parents live abroad must have a legally appointed guardian.
Students coming to study in Ireland can be challenged by their new environs, culture, food, people, and, in cases where English is not their mother tongue, speaking a foreign language.
ZE provides ongoing pastoral care to all our international students as they settle into life in Ireland
ZE’s Guardians are all over the age of 25 and are located no more than 2 hours travelling distance from the school. ZE’s Guardians are English speaking and are permanent residents in Ireland. Where Guardians are away from home, even for a short period, another ZE Guardian will be appointed and full contact details will be sent to the school, parents and agency. ZE’s Guardians undergo police vetting. This provides parents with peace of mind and ensures their child will be cared for throughout their stay in Ireland. ZE’s Guardians understand the School’s rules, regulations and policies and they support the School’s ethos and aims. ZE’s Guardians ensure that all legal documents such as visas are kept up to date and renewed where applicable.
